BOSTON – Matt Walsh has joined Ed Markey’s campaign for re-election to the United States Senate as a Field Organizer. Prior to joining the Markey campaign, Matt worked on several campaigns and also conducted political science research on political participation in Latin America and West Africa.

“Matt’s commitment to organizing and progressive policies made him an obvious choice for our Field Team,” said Campaign Manager John Walsh. “His previous experience campaigning and knowledge on women’s and LGBTQ+ issues will allow him to connect to with our diverse electorate. We are excited to have him join Team Markey.”

“Over the years, Senator Markey has been a champion for victims of substance abuse and has led the fight in the Senate against the opioid epidemic. He has been a vital advocate for communities like mine and has worked tirelessly to give them the resources they need to provide treatment. I am excited to join the movement to get Ed Markey re-elected so he can continue speaking out against the pharmaceutical industry.”

Matt resides in Malden. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and French from Amherst College.
