For the Third Week in a Row, Ed Markey Campaign Rolls Up Caucus Victories Across the State

NEWTON—This weekend and earlier this week, and for the third caucus weekend in a row, the Ed Markey for U.S. Senate campaign reported big wins at caucus locations in all corners of the state, from Somerset to Brookline, Woburn to Greenfield, and Williamstown to Plympton.
Voters again turned out in large numbers for Ed Markey, reflecting his record of delivering for cities and towns across the Commonwealth. Markey yesterday stopped by the Arlington, Boston Ward 5, and Brookline caucuses to catch up with voters and delegates.

“These huge caucus wins will provide a big boost to our overall campaign organizing effort, giving the Markey campaign an excellent foundation for our grassroots efforts leading up to election day,” said John Walsh, Markey campaign manager.
“Voters are responding to Ed Markey’s message and agenda for the next six years–ending the scourge of gun violence in our communities, continuing his fight to find a cure for Alzheimer’s by 2025, and pushing for the Green New Deal, his effort with Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to fight climate change,” Walsh added.
In the previous two weeks, Team Markey secured caucus wins in the following cities and towns: Boston, Malden, Lynnfield, Bridgewater, Rockland, Fitchburg, Sunderland, Provincetown, Bourne, Chatham, Belmont, Conway, Lowell, Barre, Westminster, Yarmouth, Amesbury, Belchertown, Berlin, Beverly, Brockton, Canton, Chicopee, Dalton, Holyoke, Lanesborough, Lenox, Nahant, Natick, Reading, Shutesbury, Templeton, Weston, and Windsor.
Senator Markey has also secured the endorsements of several major progressive groups, including the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, NARAL Pro-Choice, the NRDC Action Fund, UNITE HERE Local 26 Hotel Workers, Common Defense, and Peace Action.
