Adriana Rozas Joins Ed Markey Campaign as Bilingual Communications Assistant
Tuesday, February 4, 2020
BOSTON – Adriana Rozas has joined Ed Markey’s campaign for re-election to the United States Senate as the Bilingual Communications Assistant. Prior to joining the Markey campaign, Adriana was a Staff Assistant at the Office of Senator Ed Markey. During the course of her undergraduate career, Adriana worked as the Spanish Editor of the Massachusetts Daily Collegian, leading the Spanish Translations Department and editing over 60 translated articles. She also interned at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution where her research focused on the study of bottlenose dolphins.
“Adriana’s drive to promote inclusivity in the election process complements Ed Markey’s vision for his next term in the Senate—continuing to lead and deliver for Massachusetts’ diverse population,” said Campaign Manager John Walsh. “We are excited to welcome her to Team Markey and look forward to expanding our communications outreach during the course of this campaign.”
“I am looking forward to contributing my translations experience to this campaign to help eliminate language barriers in politics and bring Ed Markey’s message to even more people in Massachusetts,” Adriana said. “Ed Markey has been fighting for the people of Puerto Rico in Congress for years and I am ecstatic to help him get re-elected so he can continue doing just that.”
A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Adriana resides in East Boston and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
