BOSTON, Mass. – With 42 days until September 1 Primary Day, the Markey for Senate campaign today launched a new statewide television and digital ad where Senator Markey is joined by three of the country’s leading progressive voices: Senadora Elizabeth Warren, Senator Bernie Sanderse Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley.

The 30-second ad shows why Senator Markey has earned the trust of Massachusetts voters: never compromising on his values, standing up to powerful corporations and special interests, fighting for working people, and working to dismantle a system that’s been rigged in favor of the wealthy and well connected.

The initial $1.6 million buy will reach voters across every Massachusetts media market through broadcast television, cable, and digital platforms. The ad launches today and comes amid a groundswell of volunteers organizing and knocking doors across the Commonwealth and support continuing to grow among labor unions, environmental organizations, elected officials, and community leaders.

AD SCRIPT: “Fight For You”

Senator Sanders: “Ed Markey is not now and never has been for sale.”

Senator Markey:  "Bosses. Billionaires. No one tells me where to stand.”

Senator Warren: “When it comes to big banks and corporations driving up costs, Ed Markey doesn’t back down.”

Congresswoman Pressley: “When the rules aren’t working, we change them to protect the vulnerable, fight for Medicare for All, and abolish ICE. That’s Ed.”

Senator Markey: “I’ve been standing up to the bosses for a long time, so I know no one gives it to you. We have to fight for it.”
