Reverend Willie Bodrick, II Joins Ed Markey’s Campaign
Wednesday, October 30, 2019
BOSTON – Reverend Willie Bodrick, II has joined Ed Markey’s campaign for re-election to the United States Senate as a Senior Advisor. Reverend Bodrick is an ordained Baptist minister serving as Associate Pastor of the historic Twelfth Baptist Church in Roxbury. He is a graduate of Georgetown University, Harvard Divinity School and is completing his J.D. at Northeastern University School of Law.
“I am deeply committed to re-electing Ed Markey,” said Reverend Bodrick. “Senator Markey has been on the front lines fighting for education, public health, jobs, the economy and the environment, where it matters the most for the most vulnerable. He has risked political capital to speak for those who are voiceless. His support for communities of color and his record of speaking truth to power have strengthened the safeguards of justice and opportunity. I am honored to work to re-elect Ed Markey to the United States Senate.”
“Willie Bodrick is a leader of integrity in every role he accepts and I am excited to welcome him to our campaign,” said John Walsh, Senior Campaign Director. “His diligence and strategic insights will make him a key member of Team Markey.”
Reverend Bodrick previously worked on the Transition Team Steering Committee for Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins, as Outreach Coordinator in the Community Engagement Division at the Office of Attorney General Maura Healey and as a Judicial Clerk Intern at the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts for the Honorable Judge Denise J. Casper. A former Division I football player, he and his wife, Dr. Devin Cromartie Bodrick, are the proud parents of Willie Bodrick, III.
