WORCESTER, Mass. – Today, Senator Ed Markey rallied Worcester voters at Institute Park on Saturday, joined by Worcester Mayor Joe Petty, State Senator Michael Moore, State Representative Jim O’Day, State Representative David LeBoeuf, and State Representative Kate Donaghue, as the campaign enters the final 24 days before Election Day.

“It is great to be back in Worcester, because this is what this campaign is all about – fighting for working families and delivering for the communities that make Massachusetts strong,” said Senator Ed Markey. “This morning, I was in Washington casting my vote against Todd Blanche’s nomination. I have voted against more of Donald Trump’s nominees than any other senator because I will never stop standing up to Trump and his dangerous agenda. But stopping Trump is not enough. Families are being crushed by the cost of housing, health care, groceries, and utility bills, and Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans are doing nothing about it. I am running for another six years to keep fighting Trump, lower costs for working people, and make sure Worcester and communities across Massachusetts get the federal investments and opportunities they deserve.”

The local elected leaders highlighted Senator Markey’s record of delivering federal investments for Worcester and Central Massachusetts and his leadership standing up to Donald Trump.

“Ed Markey has always been a tremendous partner for the City of Worcester, and more importantly, he delivers,” said Worcester Mayor Joe Petty. “Whether it is federal funding for our infrastructure, our neighborhoods, clean water, or the community organizations our residents depend on, Ed understands what Worcester needs and fights to bring those resources home. Worcester needs Ed Markey to continue fighting for us in the Senate.”

Senator Markey’s statewide tour continues tomorrow with planned stops in Marshfield, Fall River, New Bedford, and Falmouth.
