VIDEO: Joe Kennedy’s Ever-Changing Position on Super PACs
Key Additional Question: Where’s the cash coming from?
Friday, August 7, 2020
BOSTON — As the momentum for the Markey campaign continues to grow in the final weeks of the primary, voters are left with big questions about Congressman Joe Kennedy’s ever-changing position on Super PACs.
Congressman Kennedy joined the board of a Super PAC back in 2017, and remains an Honorary Co-Chair to this day. A new Super PAC — the New Leadership PAC — with direct ties to the Kennedy family, recently announced a barrage of millions of dollars in television advertising even though Congressman Kennedy has stated throughout the campaign that “We need to, as Democrats, reject dark money. We need to reject super PACs. We need to stand by our principles.”
Voters are left to wonder, is Congressman Kennedy’s ever-changing position on Super PACs driven by conviction or political convenience?

With mail-in ballots arriving at homes now and Primary Day on September 1, the Markey for Senate campaign has recently announced major endorsements from the Working Families Party, feminist leader and journalist Gloria Steinem, and a host of local elected officials and community leaders across the state.
