Senator Markey Delivers Remarks at Vietnamese Lunar New Year Festival

DORCHESTER — Senator Ed Markey delivered remarks to a crowd of over 1,000 people on Sunday at Tết in Boston, the annual Vietnamese New Year Festival hosted each year by the Vietnamese-American Community of Massachusetts and the Intercollegiate Vietnamese Student Association. Senator Markey was honored as a distinguished guest of the Vietnamese community, joining Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and other local elected officials in wishing attendees a Happy New Year.
Senator Markey has served in the United States Senate for the last six years and is widely regarded as the leading member of Congress on environmental issues. He has also led legislation to protect consumers and address the opioid epidemic, internet privacy concerns, and net neutrality.
