Wicked Local Marblehead – COLUMN: Markey is the man
Lately there has been a proliferation of articles highlighting differences between Congressmen Stephen Lynch and Edward Markey. Most of these comparisons focus on Lynch’s conservative leanings and Markey’s progressive posture.
Another inconsequential comparison is their early-year and socio-economic legacy. Lynch was raised in a South Boston project and labored as an ironworker. Markey grew up in middle-class Malden and drove an ice cream truck. Both candidates are union and family supporters.

Markey is the man. The major difference between the two candidates is their record of achievements and influence in Congress.
