NECN – Mass. Senate race candidates get their Irish on in Worcester
Tens of thousands of folks donned their green and got their Irish on in Worcester. With sunny skies and mild temperatures, it was a great day for the 31st annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. There were dozens of floats, dancers and marching bands. All in all, there were about 8,000 parade participants, including several candidates from the Massachusetts Senate race.
Worcester, Mass. streets were covered in green Sunday for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Senate candidates marched down Park Avenue, hoping to have the luck of the Irish in the upcoming special election.
“This is the heartbeat of St. Patrick’s Day right here. You can feel it here in Worcester and I’m having a great time,” said Ed Markey.
