BOSTON, Mass. – Congressman Ro Khanna (CA-17) today endorsed Senator Ed Markey for re-election, praising Markey as a national leader in advancing progressive solutions to the everyday challenges facing working families – from lowering health care costs and passing Medicare for All to confronting the climate crisis at our doorstep.

“I’m proud to endorse Ed Markey for Senate. There is no one fighting harder to pass serious climate legislation, get corporate money out of politics, and ensure economic security for every American family,” said Congressman Ro Khanna. “He is a true progressive champion and we need his voice in Congress.”

Senator Markey and Congressman Khanna have built a longstanding legislative partnership, including legislation to allow states to establish universal health care systems if Washington fails to pass Medicare for All nationally.

This week, they also reintroduced the Green New Deal for Health to protect hospitals, community health centers, health care workers, and patients from the growing health threats of the climate crisis.
