BOSTON — Senator Ed Markey today announced that Cam Charbonnier will be managing his reelection campaign for the U.S. Senate. Charbonnier is a Boston-based Democratic strategist with more than a decade of experience leading high-profile campaigns and advising elected officials at every level of government. He began his political career on Marty Walsh’s 2013 mayoral campaign, later serving the Walsh administration at Boston City Hall for seven years. In 2020, Cam served as the Massachusetts State Director for the Biden for President campaign.

“Cam is the best person to lead our grassroots campaign of big issues, forward-looking ideas, and Massachusetts values,” said Markey. “His experience managing campaigns, building teams, and understanding the issues that matter most to voters reflect the leadership, know-how, and vision he has to lead this campaign to victory. I'm thrilled to have Cam join as campaign manager.”
