Petition: Action on Climate Change Now!

A great threat to America is one that too many politicians in Washington D.C. willingly and irresponsibly choose to ignore: Climate change.

Our planet is hurting, and it’s because of human action. We’re still at the point where we can engage in preventive care for our planet. But if the climate deniers in Congress continue to block any meaningful action, we won’t be able to take smart preventive steps — we’ll be left with ugly, painful treatment for what is, ultimately, a self-inflicted wound.

The science is unequivocal, and it is long past time for Congress to act. Sign our petition calling on Congress to enact meaningful climate change legislation before it’s too late.

People who oppose taking action say we can’t afford the economic costs of combating climate change — yet they ignore the current costs we incur from the effects of sea level rise and extreme weather.

And their priorities are just plain wrong: here in Massachusetts, we have more than 70,000 people working in green collar jobs, and that number will grow if we can just get Congress to do what it’s paid to do.

No more excuses. No more waiting. The planet does not care about political expediency, and history will look harshly on those who choose to sit idly by. It is time for action — add your name to our petition, and tell Congress to stop climate change now.

Thank you for your support, and for standing up for what’s right.
