The heart of the city is heavy, and the thoughts and prayers of a stunned nation rest with the people of Boston.
For all those affected by this senseless act of violence, life will never be the same. But through the smoke of tragedy, we got a glimpse of what is best within each of us.
We see it in the Boston firefighters, police, medical units, regular people, and volunteers that ran toward the explosions without hesitation. We see it in the investigators who are working tirelessly to bring the perpetrators of this horrendous crime to justice. And we see it in the generosity of so many Bostonians who took in strangers off the street just to help them get someplace safe.
But most importantly, we see it in each other. Boston is more than a city — it is one of the greatest communities in the country. We will pull together. We will support one another. And we will come out stronger in the end.
