BOSTON, Mass. — Today, U.S. Senator Ed Markey announced he received the endorsement of Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in his re-election campaign to the United States Senate.

For decades, Senators Markey and Sanders have stood shoulder-to-shoulder in the fight to take on corporate power, strengthen workers’ rights, combat climate change, and build an economy that works for working people—not billionaires and special interests. Together, they have championed Medicare for All, led efforts to raise wages and expand workers' rights, challenged corporate greed in health care and private equity, and advanced bold action to confront the climate crisis through the Green New Deal and other transformative policies.

In announcing his endorsement, Senator Sanders said:
